【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthedegreeofaerobicaquaticbiodegradationoffullyformulatedlubricantsortheircomponentsonexposuretoaninoculumundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Thistestmethodisanultimatebiodegradationtestthatmeasurescarbondioxide(CO2)evolution.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedtospecificallyaddressthedifficultiesassociatedwithtestingwaterinsolublematerialsandcomplexmixturessuchasarefoundinmanylubricants.1.3Thistestmethodisdesignedtobeapplicabletoallnon-volatilelubricantsorlubricantcomponentsthatarenottoxicandnotinhibitoryatthetestconcentrationtotheorganismspresentintheinoculum.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsarediscussedinSection.
