MIL-T-50301, MILITARY SPECIFICATION: TECHNICAL DATA; QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR (06 MAY 1969) [S/S BY MIL-T-47500]., This specification establishes requirements for a contractor's technical data quality control system. These requirements pertain to the basic elements of a quality control system to be developed, established, and maintained by the contractor for the purpose of insuring that technical data that is acquired by the Government conforms to contract requirements.

【摘要】:Thisguidecoversproceduresforcrevice-corrosiontestingofiron-baseandnickel-basestainlessalloysinseawater.Theguidanceprovidedmayalsobeapplicabletocrevicecorrosiontestinginotherchloridecontainingnaturalwatersandvariouslaboratorypreparedaqueouschlorideenvironments.Thisguidedescribestheuseofavarietyofcreviceformersincludingthenonmetallic,segmentedwasherdesignreferredtoasthemultiplecreviceassembly(MCA)asdescribedin9.2.2.In-serviceperformancedataprovidethemostreliabledeterminationofwhetheramaterialwouldbesatisfactoryforaparticularenduse.Translationoflaboratorydatafromasingletestprogramtopredictserviceperformanceunderavarietyofconditionsshouldbeavoided.Terms,suchasimmunity,superiorresistance,etc.,provideonlyageneralandrelativelyqualitativedescriptionofanalloyrsquo;corrosionperformance.Thelimitationsofsuchtermsindescribingresistancetocrevicecorrosionshouldberecognized.Whiletheguidanceprovidedisgenerallyforthepurposeofevaluatingsheetandplatematerials,itisalsoapplicableforcrevice-corrosiontestingofotherproductforms,suchastubingandbars.Thepresenceorabsenceofcrevicecorrosionunderonesetofconditionsisnoguaranteethatitwillorwillnotoccurunderotherconditions.Becauseofthemanyinterrelatedmetallurgical,environmental,andgeometricfactorsknowntoaffectcrevicecorrosion,resultsfromanygiventestmayormaynotbeindicativeofactualperformanceinserviceapplicationswheretheconditionsmaybedifferentfromthoseofthetest.1.1Thisguidecoversinformationforconductingcrevice-corrosiontestsandidentifiesfactorsthatmayaffectresultsandinfluenceconclusions.1.2Theseprocedurescanbeusedtoidentifyconditionsmostlikelytoresultincrevicecorrosionandprovideabasisforassessingtherelativeresistanceofvariousalloystocrevicecorrosionundercertainspecifiedconditions.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificwarningstatement,see7.1.1.
