【摘要】:Thetestisusedtodeterminetheoxidativeresistancesofcarbonfibersasameansofselectingthemoststablefibersforincorporationinhigh-temperaturefiber-reinforcedcompositesystems.Itcanbeusedforqualitycontrol,materialspecification,andforresearchanddevelopmentofimprovedcarbonfibers.Factorsthatinfluencetheoxidativeresistanceandshouldbereportedarefiberidentification,precursortype,fibermodulus,andanyinformationonimpurities,particularlymetals.Alsonotethatthepresenceoffinishonthefibercanaffecttheoxidativeresistance,andthus,alternativespecimenpreparationsthatenabletheevaluationoffinisheffectsareincluded.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheapparatusandprocedureforthedeterminationoftheweightlossofcarbonfibers,exposedtoambienthotair,asameansofcharacterizingtheiroxidativeresistance.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitswhichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardinformation,seeSection8.
