【摘要】:A2.4.1Thistestmethoddescribesastatictorsionaltesttodeterminethetorsionalstiffnessofthecentralanduniformportionofanintramedullaryfixationdevice.A2.4.2Thistestmethodmaynotbeappropriateforalltypesofimplantapplications.Theuseriscautionedtoconsidertheappropriatenessofthemethodinviewofthedevicesbeingtestedandtheirpotentialapplication.1.1Thisspecificationisintendedtoprovideacharacterizationofthedesignandmechanicalfunctionofintramedullaryfixationdevices(IMFDs),specifylabelingandmaterialrequirements,providetestmethodsforcharacterizationofIMFDmechanicalproperties,andidentifyneedsforfurtherdevelopmentoftestmethodsandperformancecriteria.Theultimategoalistodevelopastandardwhichdefinesperformancecriteriaandmethodsformeasurementofperformance-relatedmechanicalcharacteristicsofIMFDsandtheirfixationtobone.Itisnottheintentionofthisspecificationtodefinelevelsofperformanceorcase-specificclinicalperformanceofthesedevices,asinsufficientknowledgetopredicttheconsequencesoftheuseofanyofthesedevicesinindividualpatientsforspecificactivitiesofdailylivingisavailable.ItisnottheintentionofthisspecificationtodescribeorspecifyspecificdesignsforIMFDs.1.2ThisspecificationdescribesIMFDsforsurgicalfixationoftheskeletalsystem.ItprovidesbasicIMFDgeometricaldefinitions,dimensions,classification,andterminology;labelingandmaterialspecifications;performancedefinitions;testmethodsandcharacteristicsdeterminedtobeimportanttoin-vivoperformanceofthedevice.1.3Thisspecificationincludesfourstandardtestmethods:1.3.1StaticFour-PointBendTestMethodx2014;AnnexA1and1.3.2StaticTorsionTestMethodx2014;AnnexA2.1.3.3BendingFatigueTestMethodx2014;AnnexA3.1.3.4TestMethodforBendingFatigueofIMFDLockingScrewsx2014;AnnexA4.1.4ArationaleisgiveninAppendixX1.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.A1.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesmethodsforstaticfour-pointbendtestingofintrinsic,structuralpropertiesofintramedullaryfixationdevices(IMFDs)forsurgicalfixationoftheskeletalsystem.Thistestmethodincludesbendtestinginavarietyofplanesrelativetothemajoranatomicplanes.ThepurposeistomeasurebendingstrengthandbendingstiffnessintrinsictothedesignandmaterialsofIMFDs.A1.1.2ThistestmethodisdesignedspecificallytotestIMFDdesignsthathaveawell-definedworkinglength(WL)ofuniformopenorclosedcrosssectionthroughoutthemajorityofitslength(WLx2265;10x00D7;diameter)andistobeappliedtothefulllengthofthediaphysisofafemur,tibia,humerus,radius,orulna.ThisisnotapplicabletoIMFDsthatareusedtofixonlyashortportionofthediaphysisofanyofthelongbonesorthediaphysisofsmallbonessuchasthemetacarpals,metatarsals,phalanges,andsoforth.A1.1.3ThistestmethodisnotintendedtotesttheextrinsicpropertiesofanyIMFD,thatis,theinteractionofthedevicewithboneorotherbiologicmaterials.A1.1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedtodefinecase-specificclinicalperformanceofthesedevices,asinsufficientknowledgetopredicttheconsequences......
